Joe & the Juice is a popular juice and coffee chain in the UK and is also available in some parts of the US namely Illinois, Minneapolis, New York, and Washington. But do they have gluten-free type of bread?

Joe & the Juice offers gluten-free bread in their sandwiches category. Although their whole wheat panini-style bread is popular, you can order the gluten-free version of it. Their bread can’t be bought alone and the only option for food is to order a sandwich.

Are the sandwiches also good or is there something you should note? Learn the answers below!

Does Joe and the Juice Have GF Bread?

Joe & the Juice does offer gluten-free bread options, specifically, sandwich bread.

Although most of their baked goods are made with wheat, they do offer gluten-free bread in their sandwiches. When you buy any of their sandwiches, you can opt for gluten-free bread instead of their classic one.

Their Joes Club, Tunacado, Serrano, VAVO, Avocado, Turkey, and Spicy Tuna sandwiches can all be ordered with gluten-free bread. The common ingredient among all sandwiches is tomato which is gluten-free.

With tomato being a common gluten-free ingredient in our sandwiches, it prompts us to wonder: Is tomato juice consistently gluten-free as well? Feel free to explore the gluten status of this popular beverage in our guide, which analyzes different brands in detail.

Furthermore, other common ingredients are avocado and vegan pesto. Avocado is also gluten-free.

Likewise, pesto is free from gluten but it can be contaminated with gluten during processing, or when its ingredients have been exposed to gluten like wheat flour when made at home. However, pesto is generally considered gluten-free.

People in forums and social media try to recreate the gluten-free bread and you too can. Just make sure you use gluten-free flour.

Joe & the Juice also offers delicious sweets like banana bread, chocolate brownie, chocolate brownie, carrot cake, and other sweet treats, they are not gluten-free food and could affect people with Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity conditions.

Their Joe’s Raw Cocoa Bite and Joe’s Raw Hazelnut Bite did not indicate that they contain gluten. We recommend asking about their gluten status before getting one.

What’s In Joe and The Juice’s Gluten Free Bread? The Ingredients

Their bread, the one in sandwiches, cannot be ordered alone. According to forums, the classic bread might be Dutch bread made exclusively by Joe & the Juice. There is no information about their gluten-free bread but it can’t be ordered alone as well.

Their sandwiches have an average of 448 calories. Sandwiches with the lowest calories are Spicy Tuna at 415 calories, Turkey at 420 calories, and Joe’s Club at 430 calories.

You’ll get your carbohydrates, protein, and fat in every sandwich. You’ll also get some fiber from the vegetables and pesto sauce.

However, each delicious sandwich is also pretty high in sodium, with the lowest being Tunacado with 1,227 mg of sodium, and the highest being Serrano ham with a whopping 3,576 mg of sodium (source: Joe and the Juice).

Joe and the Juice doesn’t seem to share their bread recipe (probably for a reason). But if you have Celiac disease or are sensitive to gluten, you can always choose their gluten-free sandwiches.

We also recommend asking about Joe’s Raw Cocoa Bite and Joe’s Raw Hazelnut Bite if they contain gluten or not.

We hope this helps!
