Trish Tucker-May cooked for years around a body that seemed to be working against her - asthma, allergies, a cabinet of medication that managed the symptoms without ever touching what was causing them. What eventually changed things wasn't a new prescription. It was paying attention to what she was actually eating, meal by meal, and rebuilding from there. She's been medication-free for years since, and that experience is the whole reason her advice on this site starts with the gut rather than the calorie count.
It's also why the recipes and articles she's behind aren't written for someone with unlimited time and a spotless pantry. They're written for the version of healthy eating that survives a Tuesday.
Trish is a member of the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (UK) and the author of Nourish Your Gut For A Positive Menopause, winner of the Book category at the 2024 Janey Lee Grace Health and Wellness Awards. Her focus areas include gut healing, hormonal balance through menopause, stress and its effect on digestion, and the kind of everyday nutrition that has to hold up under a busy week, not just a good one.
Bloating, low energy, poor sleep, hormonal shifts through menopause, and the general sense that your body and your diet aren't on speaking terms. Her approach isn't restriction-first - no starvation, no deprivation lists - it's built around working out what your gut needs and cooking toward that, one meal at a time.

Beyond what she writes here, Trish runs her own programs and a small shop of tools she actually uses herself, from juicing equipment to supplements, all picked for the same reason: they support a gut-first way of eating rather than working around it.
